Dear Fellow Friends and Neighbours,
I hear and understand your need for someone not only to represent you but someone who will also listen, observe, and act upon your interests without any hidden agendas. Let me be your go-to person to help our city of Markham flourish in a FRESH manner!
As a Markham resident since birth, many of my memories were created in Ward 3. There’s a saying that goes, “it takes a village to raise an individual” and – in my honest opinion – Markham has done an excellent job in raising me to be the well-rounded, genuine, and passionate young professional that I am today. Now, it is my turn to give back to this “village” and its people to whom I could never thank enough.
My FRESH vision for Markham is to continue to grow as a city while preserving and enhancing our current lifestyle and living standards. I realize the challenge of striking the perfect balance of a WIN-WIN for all concerned parties; nonetheless, this is my goal and I intend on achieving it for all of you. My promise to you as your Ward 3 Councillor is first to listen carefully to you, be well-informed on every issue at hand, the available options, and its affiliated consequences before making decisions on your behalf. I do not believe in making rash decisions as every decision, regardless of how minuscule it may seem, affects our lives in one way or another.
I am a professionally trained mediator as well as a licenced Barrister and Solicitor practicing law in Markham. I have the expertise, skills, and determination that our Markham Council direly needs to anticipate, identify, analyze, evaluate, and manage the many changes of our diverse city. I am prepared to face each challenge head on as your Ward 3 Councillor!
Thank you so much for considering me as your Ward 3 Councillor. Should you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to share with me.
I am here to serve you!
Yours truly,
Jennifer Carrie Wan
